Okay so after owning this monitor for a week or so?? I've found that the flickering issue is still intermittent. Changing the color profile to RTS did not mitigate it?? nor is changing it to any other profile (both on the monitor or in the Mac System Settings) . This appears to be a common issue with Apple's M1 chips and 4K external monitors (there are plenty of threads about this). I did not know about this prior to buying this monitor and I could not find a definite solution for this.I did not have this issue when I had a 2K monitor with my M1 Macbook?? both Dell U and S series 27 inch 2k monitor?? and a Viotek Ultrawide 2K monitor also.I'm still debating if I should return this or not and downgrade back to a 2K monitor.I'm leaving it to 5 stars since it's not the monitor's fault?? it's the M1 chip. Just a few notes/tips:- I downloaded the BetterDisplay App for the Mac. The license is only $15 and I've applied the license to two separate M1 macbooks with no problem. This allows you to enable native resolution scaling?? which helps with the scaled resolution clarity somewhat?? along with additional fine tuning configs. If you don't know?? Apple has scaling issues with 4k Monitors?? refer to YouTube videos for more info.- Setting the color profile to Generic RGB Profile really makes the color pop and the darks darker. So making it closer to the Macbook's native color vibrancy. This is set in the System Settings > Displays > Select the Dell S3221QS > Set color Profile to Generic RGB Profile (of course you can try out the other profiles too).- Setting the response time to 'Extreme' should reduce ghosting (Just found this in some YouTube video)
